Yes, we've altered how the latest news appears on the front page of the main website. Seems like Internet Explorer didn't like our scrolling news feature. Personally, we'd like to slap a big banner across the website that says "avoid IE, get Firefox" - but it's your choice as to what to browse with!

New Novel

A new book by The Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien has gone on sale, 34 years after the writer's death. "The Children of Hurin" has been completed by his son Christopher from a series of unfinished manuscripts.

Christopher said the story, set long before the events of the Rings trilogy, represents the last major work by his father about Middle-earth.

Almost a century

The forum has steadily grown since we launched it, and is now at the point of almost reaching 100 registered users. If you collect the studies, and want to ask questions, make a comment, or just communicate with other collectors then this is place to do it.

A little advice

Here at DragonsCavern we get cheesed off quite often with the way that some sellers on eBay try and pass off certain non Myth and Magic studies as the real thing. We also get annoyed with postage costs that are not reasonable, and most of all when sellers advertise a piece and don't show an image of the item in question.

Well, with all these in mind we've created a brief guide to buying M&M on eBay (you can find it on the eBay website here).
Now we know it's brief, as it only contains advice about mould changes / lack of image / non M&M / postage costs / schill bidding.

What we're now asking is - what else should be mentioned? Let us know, and we'll add that information, your name (or eBay ID) and create a "collectors cooperative" guide for the benefit of all.

Extrav '07

Well the date for this years Extravaganza (the last to be run by the Tudor Mint) has been announced for a while, and club members should have received their paperwork to apply for tickets.
The ticket price is lower than in previous years, and following an enquiry to Jean at the TM the reason for this has been explained as follows;

The Extravaganza will be held in Drayton Manor's banqueting suite and anyone who wants to go into the park itself will regretfully have to pay separately (at the park, not to us), albeit at reduced rates. They used to operate a wristband system for the rides but now everyone has to pay regardless of whether they are going to go on the rides or not.

So, whereas in previous years the extravaganza ticket allowed entry to the park and the option then of purchasing a ride wristband, the new admissions system at Drayton Manor does not allow for that anymore.
