eBay promotion

From eBay;

On Thursday 1st May, when you list using the Auction-style format in eligible categories, Insertion Fees will be reduced to just 5p for each item you list. So the more you list, the more you can save! Final Value and feature fees are not included in this promotion.

What's excluded from this promotion?

• Multiple-Item listings in all formats. See the full details about Multiple-Item listings.
• Identical listings that do not comply with our Duplicate Listings policy. See the full details about our Duplicate Listings policy
• Shops Inventory Format listings. See the full details about listing items in Shops Inventory Format.
• Any item listed on Thursday 1st May 2008 but scheduled to start after the promotional period will NOT qualify for the promotion.
• Any items listed which do not comply with our Listing Policies or Prohibited and restricted Items Policies.
• Only the basic eBay Insertion Fee will be reduced to 5 pence. All other eBay selling fees will still apply, including but not limited to Final Value Fees, optional Reserve Price Fees and all Lising Upgrade Fees such as 'Gallery', 'Subtitle', 'Bold' or 'Highlight'. Members listing using the Auction-with-Buy It Now format will still be charged the Listing Upgrade Fee for Buy It Now.

Further information

• If the item is listed in 2 categories, the Insertion Fee will be 5 pence times 2 i.e. 10 pence.
• If the item qualifies for the promotion, the 'Sell Your Item' form will indicate to the seller that they have been charged the Insertion Fee of 5 pence.
• Please be aware that items listed on the 1st of May 2008 will not be shown by default on the eBay.com site.
• Items which list using a reserve price reserve price will be excluded from this promotion.

Kaboom!!

We are suffering a few technical issues - namely the fact that our main computer's motherboard gave up the ghost last week. This means that at the moment we have no access to Dreamweaver to modify some of the webpages on the website. As a result, the following will and will not be happening at the start of May;

• We WILL be sending out the newsletter as normal to all subscribers.
• We WILL be starting a new monthly vote.
• We WILL NOT be able to update the voting page with last months results.
• We WILL NOT be able to add last months newsletter to the website.
• We WILL NOT be able to update front page of the website.

As we mentioned before Christmas, because all our subscriber data is held remotely, we are still able to access all user details within :MyChart, the forum and the subscriber section and so these areas will be running as normal.

As soon as we've raided the piggy bank we'll be sorting out a replacement machine and reloading all relevant software on it before copying files across from the old hard drive (which fortunately remains in perfect working order).

Make it your magazine

I've received and email from the new editor of The Methtintdour Times, (Paul), who says;

...I am particularly keen to re-establish and strengthen the Myth & Magic ‘community feel’ within the magazine and the forthcoming Extravaganza should provide an excellent opportunity to really get the club back into full swing.
 
In the meantime it would be great to get some (positive) members feedback about new introductions, their collections, personal stories, interesting anecdotes, artwork and how they would like to see the range develop which we can include in this and future issues.
 
Any suggestions or contributions would be very much appreciated...

So, if you can suggest anything, post the ideas below (you'll need to give your email address although it won't appear on the comments page), and I'll then pass them on to Paul so he can contact you.
